William E. Willis Sr.

William E. Willis Sr., 68, of Hempfield Twp., died on Wednesday, July 12, 2017 at his home with his wife by his side. He was born January 27, 1949 in Salem, NJ, a son of Katherine (Silvey) Willis of Fort Pierce, FL and the late Ralph Willis. Prior to retirement, William worked for SAP America as a consultant. He was a member of St. Paul Parish in Greensburg. William is survived by his loving wife of 38 years Rose M. (Petrarca) Willis; one son William E. Willis Jr. and wife Lisa of Manassas, VA ; one daughter Melodie Golde of Wilmington, DE; two brothers John Willis and wife Marilyn of Salem, NJ and Ralph Willis of Fort Pierce, FL; one sister Kathy Caffo and husband Bill of Fort Pierce, FL; 4 grandchildren Marissa Willis, Rebecca Golde, Crysanie Golde, and Mollie Golde; 1 Great Grandson Jason Golde and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. Family will receive friends for William’s LIFE CELEBRATION 2-4 & 6-8PM Friday July 14, 2017 at the Matthew X. Merlin Funeral Home, Inc. 529 N. Chestnut St. Derry, PA 724-694-8331. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00AM Saturday July 15, 2017 at the St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, Derry with the Fr. Salvatore R. Lamendola as celebrant.
