Robert W. (Sr.) Dietrick

Robert W. Dietrick, Sr., 78, of Latrobe, died Sunday, August 18, 2024 at his home. He was born October 17, 1945, in Moween, PA, a son of the late Charles and Helen (Repine) Dietrick. Prior to retirement Robert worked at Specialty Light. He was US Army Veteran having served during the Vietnam War. Robert was Catholic by faith. He enjoyed watching the Pirates, and the Steelers, playing the lottery and cooking. Besides his parents Robert is preceded in death by six brothers Raymond, Ralph, Charles, Albert, Roy, and an infant brother and two sisters Mary Louise Dietrick and Ellen Baloga. Robert is survived by his former spouse Shirley A. Dietrick; one son Robert W. Dietrick, Jr. and wife Marcia; one daughter Tammi L. Buccigrossi; three sisters Doloris Ramsey, Patricia Shubuck, and Betty Small; two sisters-in-law Debbie and Karen Dietrick; five grandchildren Teeaira and Anthony Buccigrossi, Hannah Polosky, David and Matt Bowes; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Family will receive friends for Robert’s Life Celebration 3-6 PM Wednesday, August 21, 2024 in the Matthew X. Merlin Funeral Home, Inc. 529 N. Chestnut St. Derry 724-694-8331. The Latrobe Derry Veterans Honor Guard will conduct Military Honors 5:45 PM, Wednesday in the funeral home. A Blessing Service will follow 6 PM in the funeral home with Rev. Salvatore R.
