Pamela L. (Garris) Platt

Pamela L. (Garris) Platt, 69, of Derry Twp., died Tuesday, October 15, 2024 at her home. She was born November 16, 1954, in Latrobe, a daughter of late Jim and Anna Irene (McCurdy) Garris. Pamela had her own cleaning business. She enjoyed spending time with her friends and family. She is preceded in death by her husband Thomas Platt in 2012, three brothers Robert, Ronnie and Dickie Garris, and two sisters Shirley Garris and Donna Harris. Pamela is survived by her four children Irvin Alfred Garris and wife Cindy Marie of Derry, Charles Garris and wife Robin of Latrobe, Charlene Garris of Whitney, and Mark Garris of Derry; two brothers Richard Garris and wife Connie of Scranton, and James Garris Jr. of Brenizer; two sisters Lois Kells of Latrobe, and Dot Piper of Latrobe; 15grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. Family will receive friends10-11AM Friday, October 18, 2024 in the Matthew X. Merlin Funeral Home, Inc. 529 N. Chestnut St. Derry 724-694-8331. A funeral service will follow in the funeral home with Rev. Raymond McIntyre officiating.
