Michael W. Maloy

Michael W. Maloy, 92, of Bentleyville formerly a lifelong resident of Peanut, died peacefully on Tuesday, February 7, 2017 at Donnell House, Washington, PA. He was born September 5, 1924 in Peanut a son of the Late John and Mary (Shumaker) Maloy. Prior to retirement Mike work at Teledyne as a truck driver. He was a US Navy veteran having served during WWII. Mike was a member of St. Martin Roman Catholic Church, New Derry, the Slovak Club, and the American Legion. He enjoyed cars and especially spending time with his family. Besides his parents, Mike is preceded in death by his wife Willa Jean (Adams) Maloy and two brothers John and George “Emmy” Maloy. Mike is survived by his two sons Michael T. Maloy and wife Shelly of Glenmore, PA and Timothy L. Maloy and wife Cynthia of Bentleyville, PA; one brother Joseph Maloy and wife Delores of Peanut; five grandchildren Timothy, Shannon, Melissa, Laura, and Ian; three great grandchildren Zachary, Macksim, and McKenna and several nieces, nephews, and friends. Family will receive friends for Mike’s LIFE CELEBRATION 10-11AM Saturday February 11, 2017 at the Matthew X. Merlin Funeral Home, Inc. 529 N. Chestnut St. Derry, PA 724-694-8331. The Latrobe Derry Honor Guard will conduct Military honors in the funeral home at 10 AM Saturday February 11, 2017 A Funeral Service will follow at 11AM in the Funeral Home with the Rev. Stephen C.
