Mary C. (Herdman) Marol

Mary C. (Herdman) Marol, 75, of Salem Twp., died August 20, 2024 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born July 7, 1949, in Latrobe, a daughter of the late Henry and Mary (Lombardi) Herdman. Prior to retirement Mary worked at Westmoreland Manor for 25 years as a CNA. She was a member of the Blessed Sacrament Cathedral in Greensburg. Mary enjoyed reading and her family vacations. Beside her parents Mary is preceded in death by her husband Benedict F. Marol, Sr. in 2007 and one brother Henry Herdman. Mary is survived by her significant other Tom Wallace; one daughter Carol A. Marol and Leroy Henry; one sister Ann Jones; four grandchildren Joshua and Erica Dulemba, Lydia Gentner, Brian, Mary, and Patty Dulemba; two great grandchildren Lilith and Maya Dulemba; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Family will receive friends for Mary’s Life Celebration Friday 2-4 and 6-8 PM August 23, 2024 at the Matthew X. Merlin Funeral Home, Inc. 529 N. Chestnut St. Derry 724-694-8331. A Blessing Service will be held Saturday 10:00AM August 24, 2024 in the funeral home with Rev. Salvatore R. Lamendola as officiant. Interment will follow in the Coles Cemetery, Derry.
