Maribel Jane (Lear) Kalp (Kisic)

Maribel Jane (Lear) Kalp-Kisic, 92 of Ligonier, passed away July 23, 2025, at Wesley House Assisted Living in Sulphur Springs, TX, with her son John by her side. Maribel was born on February 14, 1933 in Blairsville, PA. The daughter of the late Elder and Mabel (Libengood) Lear. Maribel was a wonderful loving mother that raised six sons. She also had a business as a dog groomer for many years. She enjoyed visiting with all her clients, as well as loving all the animals that she met. Maribel was a devoted Christian that touched many lives. She also fostered many children. Maribel “Marty” was a beacon of light for so many people in her community. Maribel is survived by her four sons, Michael and wife Suzanne of Naples, FL, Mark and wife Deb of Latrobe, PA, Eric and wife Sue of Boswell, PA, and John and wife Kathy of Cooper, TX ; ten grandchildren Richard, Stacy, AJ, Jacquelyn, Ashley, Renee, Emily, Chelsea, Kevin and Stephanie; eight great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. Along with her parents, Maribel was preceded in death by her husbands, Michael V. Kisic and Arnold Johnson, Merle Kalp; two sons, Brian and Aaron Kisic; and one brother William Lear.
