Linda L. (Grubbs) Bellissimo, 75, of Latrobe, passed away at home on Sunday, July 27, 2025, with her loving family by her side, after fighting a courageous battle with cancer.
She was born July 3, 1950, in Jeannette, PA, the only daughter of the late John R. Jr. and Maureen L. (Pedley) Grubbs.
She graduated from Hempfield High School in 1968, where she made life-long friends and immediately entered the work force. Ultimately, she retired with 30 years committed experience from Verizon (also known through the years as Ma Bell & Bell Atlantic) She was a member of the Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Latrobe.
Linda had many passions during her lifetime. She spent hours creating afghans with the purpose of improving the lives of others - including donating dozens to Blackburn Center and Project Linus. She enjoyed experiencing all forms of culture and traveling with her daughter Erin, especially to warm, tropical beaches. She was an appreciated master cook, creating treasured recipes that her children are now sharing with their own families. She relaxed by collecting and escaping into her books and spending the summers camping in Ohio. She was a warm, friendly spirit who was able to make friends wherever she went. However, her greatest love was spending hours with her family – especially her grandbabies, who were the light of her life.
Linda is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, Mark F. Bellissimo of Latrobe; one son Mark J. Bellissimo and wife Brenda of Greensburg; one daughter Erin Raynor and husband Mark of Raleigh, NC; four grandchildren Mark and Madelyn Bellissimo and Brennen and Emelia “Emmy” Raynor. Two brothers, Robert & Scott Grubbs, cousins, and friends.
At Linda’s request, there will be no public visitations nor services. Interment will be private.
