Laura (Ray) Parker, 87, of Derry, died on February 5, 2026 at home, with her family by her side.
She was born on April 13, 1938, in Latrobe, a daughter of the late Irvin S. and Elizabeth K. (Barchesky) Ray.
Prior to retirement Laura was a bus driver for Smith Bus Company, Inc.. She was a member of FOE Eagles in Blairsville. She enjoyed puzzle books, going to bingo, spending time with her grandchildren and going to their sporting events.
Besides her parents, Laura was preceded in death by her husband Kenneth Bell Parker in 2001; one daughter Patricia A. Sherba one brother James E. Ray; one sister Margaret M. Luker; and three grandchildren Sean, Jessica, and Issac Green.
Laura is survived by three daughters Pamela J. Stuckman, and husband Daniel, Paula M. Moore, and Paige A. Green and husband Sean; one sister Anna Mae Hoyle; four grandchildren William Haase, Rebecca Noel and husband Jason, Emily Miller and husband Jared, and Kristopher Green; three great-grandchildren Madison and Hunter Noel and Boyd Miller; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Family will receive friends for Laura’s Life Celebration 3-7 PM Monday, February 9, 2026, PM at the Matthew X. Merlin Funeral Home Inc. 529 N. Chestnut St. Derry, PA 724-694-8331.
A funeral service will follow 7PM, in the funeral with Pastor Matthew Schwender officiating.
Interment will be private in the Coles Cemetery, Derry
