June M. Sloan

June M. Sloan, 91, of Blairsville, passed away peacefully, Sunday, June 21, 2026 at the Beacon Ridge Nursing Home, Indiana, surrounded by her family. She was born October 16, 1934, in Hillside, Derry Twp., PA, a daughter of the late John E. and Mary Olive (Short) Sloan. June was a homemaker. She loved reading mystery books, coloring, and putting puzzles together. She never missed watching the news to keep up to date with current events. She enjoyed sitting on the porch watching the wildlife and growing flowers or having flowers to take care of. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by three brothers Charles L., Francis A. and Harry E. Sloan; and two sisters Mary R. and Ida A. Sloan. June is survived by numerous nieces, nephews and friends. She was ever so thankful for all the love and care from Audrey, Gale, Wanda, Madison, and Marleigh. She would have been lost without them. The family will receive friends for June’s Life Celebration, on Friday, June 26, 2026 from 10-12 PM at the Matthew X. Merlin Funeral Home Inc. 529 N. Chestnut St. Derry, PA 724-694-8331. A Blessing Service will follow 12 Noon, Friday, June 26, 2026 in the funeral home with Rev. Salvatore R. Lamendola as officiant.
