Judith E. (Durasin) Asbee

Judith E. (Durasin) Asbee, 73, of Segar, died September 5, 2021 at Excela Health Latrobe Hospital. She was born on August 26, 1948 in Seger a daughter of the late John and Katherine (Skander) Durasin. Prior to retirement Judith worked for Derry School District in the cafeteria. She was a member of the St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church and the Croatian Society. Judith enjoyed sewing, taking pictures, and scrapbooking. Besides her parents Judith was preceded in death by her three brothers John, Stephen, and Matthew Durasin; one sister Katherine Pozik, and her close cousin Diane Yakopovich. Judith is survived by her husband of 50 years Robert G. Asbee of Seger (Derry); two sons Gregory R. Asbee and wife Patricia of Latrobe and Joshua M. Asbee and wife Christine of Brenizer; one grandson Joshua “J.J.” Asbee Jr.; one granddaughter on the way Isabella Judith Asbee; two close cousins Kathy Yakopovich and John Yakopovich and his wife Nancy; and many nieces, nephews, and friends. Family will receive friends for Judith’s Life celebration 2-4 and 6-8PM Tuesday September 7, 2021 in the Matthew X. Merlin Funeral Home, Inc. 529 N. Chestnut St. Derry, 724-694-8331. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 AM Wednesday September 8, 2021 in the St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, Derry, with the Rev. Salvatore R. Lamendola as celebrant. Interment will follow in the St. Joseph Cemetery, Derry.
