Jon Chump Obituary

Jon A. Chump, 70, of Derry, PA, died, Friday, July 26, 2024, at Independence Health System Latrobe Hospital. He was born October 15, 1953, in Latrobe, PA, the son of late Joseph A. Sr. and Idabelle V. (Emminger) Chump. Prior to retirement Jon worked in sales. He was a US Navy Veteran. Jon was Catholic by faith. He enjoyed motorcycles. Besides his parents Jon was preceded in death by his sister Candace Jones. Jon is survived by his girlfriend and dear friend Denise Strapple; one son Jon Black Jr.; one brother Joseph A. Chump Jr., one sister Cherie L. House; one niece Jacqui Smallwood and numerous cousins and friends. The family has entrusted the Matthew X. Merlin Funeral Home, Inc. 529 N.
