John Rellick Obituary

John P. Rellick, 93 of Derry, died on Sunday, December 11, 2022, at Loyalhanna Care Center with his family by his side. He was born September 5, 1929 in Derry, PA, the son of the late Anthony and Sophia (Postosky) Rellick. Prior to retirement John worked at Latrobe Steel. John served in the US Army during the Korean War. He was a member of the St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, Derry. Besides his parents John is preceded in death by one brother and five sisters. John is survived by his loving wife of 66 years Mary I. (Pividori) Rellick of Derry; three sons Christopher J. Rellick and wife Lisa of Latrobe, Jeffrey M. Rellick and wife Rita of Dunconnon, PA, and Stephen J. Rellick of Latrobe; two brothers and three sisters; two grandchildren Kayla Messenger and husband Zachary and Matthew Rellick; 2 great grandchildren Emma and Alexa Messenger and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. At John’s request the visitation and services were private for the family. The family has entrusted the funeral arrangements with the Matthew X. Merlin Funeral Home Inc. 529 N. Chestnut St. Derry, PA 724-694-8331. Interment was in the St. Joseph Cemetery. Online condolences may be made at merlinfuneralhome.com.
