Janet F. (McCreery) Watkins

Janet F. (McCreery) Watkins, 76, of Bradenville, died July 27, 2017 at her home. She was born October 11, 1940 in Peanut, PA, the daughter of the late Herbert C. and Glendora (Blystone) McCreery. Prior to retirement, Janet worked at Latrobe Brewing Company. In addition to her parents, Janet was preceded in death by 2 brothers Duane and Dale McCreery and one sister Phyllis Teribery Janet is survived by her son Mark Watkins and wife Jackie of Latrobe; one daughter Tracy Rhoades and husband Lyle of Bradenville; three brothers, Donald McCreery and wife Dorothy of New Derry, Charles McCreery and wife Linda of Brenizer, and Gregory McCreery of New Derry, three sisters Lois Short of New Derry, Karen Miller and husband Ralph of Blairsville and Deborah Merichko of Bradenville; 2 grandchildren April Unzicker of Latrobe and Michael Watkins of Latrobe; 4 great grandchildren Taylor, Amelia, Scotty, and Mason and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. The family will receive friends for Janet’s Life Celebration, on Monday July 31, 2017 from 2-4PM and 6-8PM at the Matthew X. Merlin Funeral Home Inc. 529 N. Chestnut St. Derry, PA 724-694-8331. A funeral service will be held 11AM Tuesday August 1, 2017 in the funeral home with the Rev. Shawn Lyons officiating. Interment will be in the Coles Cemetery, Derry, PA.
