Jane M. (Smith) Litzinger

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Jane M. (Smith) Litzinger, 95 on Sunday, July 29, 2018.  Jane, formerly of Derry, was the daughter of Earl and Jennie (Bowers) Smith.  She was born October 16, 1922 in Latrobe, PA.  She was a member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Derry until 1995 when she moved to live with her daughter, Beth Ann & husband Carl.  She then joined the congregation of Sons of Zebedee Lutheran Church in Saltsburg.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant daughter in 1947; her husband, Blair Litzinger in 1986; her grandson, Anthony Paesano in 2016; brothers:  Edward, Frank & Harry Smith and sisters:  Mae Dias Shirley, Nancy Polo, Anne Ruby, Sarah Downs, Garnett Rainey and Betty Jean Griffiths. She is survived by her daughter, Beth Ann Paesano & husband, Carl of Avonmore; daughter, Susan Hails of Latrobe; son-in-law-, Jerry Rosborough & wife, Maggie of SC; granddaughter, Gina (Paesano) Lester & husband, William & their children, Ian and Sydney of Latrobe; grandson, Larry Rosborough & wife, Kiersten & their children, Kalyn and Alaina; grandson, Joseph Paesano & wife, Mackenzie & their daughter, Sonia of Lower Burrell and her sister-in-law, Lois Litzinger and many Nieces & Nephews.

While Jane will be missed, we are happy she is once again united with her loved ones who have passed on before her.

In keeping with Jane’s wishes, services on Thursday will be private.  Interment will be in Coles Cemetery, Derry, PA.
