Frank Smoker

Frank Smoker, 81, of Derry Twp., died on Thursday, August 9, 2018 at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital. He was born December 7, 1936 in Hostetter a son of the late Frank P. and Augusta (Kutshinsky) Smoker. Prior to retirement Frank worked for Ralph Smith & Son as a heavy equipment operator. He enjoyed woodworking, boating, hunting, fishing, and cooking. Besides his parents Frank, is preceded in death by five sisters, Frances Moore, Catheryn Smoker, Helen McCracken, Marie Latimer, and Pauline Neiderhiser and three brothers John, Steve, and Edward Smoker. Frank is survived by his wife of 21 years Georgene S. Smoker of Derry Twp.; one daughter Jennifer A. Smoker of Unity Twp.; one brother Harry Smoker of Derry; two sisters, Florence Harris of MI and Nancy Leino of MI and numerous, nieces, nephews, and friends. The family has entrusted the Matthew X. Merlin Funeral Home, Inc. 529 N. Chestnut St. Derry, PA 724-694-8331with the funeral arrangements. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
