Evelyn R. (Bard). Schweinsburg, 87, of Derry Twp., died October 9, 2017 at Excela Health Latrobe Hospital. She was born December 15, 1929, in Derry, a daughter of the late Helen (Gordon) Bard. Prior to retirement Evelyn worked for Latrobe Area Hospital and also was a licensed cosmetologist and helped raise her brothers and sister. She loved housekeeping, cooking and baking. Besides her parents Evelyn is preceded in death by her husband Charles W. Schweinsburg in 2015, two brothers Robert and James Bard, and one sister Vernetta Meglemre. Evelyn is survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Family will receive friends for Evelyn’s Life Celebration 12-1:00 PM Saturday October 14, 2017 at the Matthew X. Merlin Funeral Home, Inc. 529 N. Chestnut St. Derry 724-694-8331. A Funeral Service will follow in the funeral home at 1:00 PM with the Rev. Paul E. Wilson Sr. officiating.
