Evelyn Jane (Stemmler) Dornauer

Evelyn Jane (Stemmler) Dornauer, 94, of Irwin, died on December 30, 2025 at Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh. She was born on May 8, 1931, in Derry Twp., a daughter of the late Gust L. and Irene C. (Shrum) Stemmler. Jane was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Agnes Church in North Huntington, PA. Jane enjoyed going to the casino and spending time with family and friends. Besides her parents, Jane was preceded in death by one brother Leroy Stemmler and two sisters Martha Belle McBroom and Loretta McBroom. Jane is survived by her loving husband of 57 years Charles Ralph Dornauer; one brother Wilbur Stemmler; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Family will receive friends for Janes’s Life Celebration 9:30 -10:30AM Monday, January 5, 2026, PM at the Matthew X. Merlin Funeral Home Inc. 529 N. Chestnut St. Derry, PA 724-694-8331. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11 AM, at the St Joseph Roman Catholic Church, Derry with Rev. Salvatore R. Lamendola as celebrant.
