Donald B. McCreery

Donald B. McCreery, Sr., 82, of New Derry, died Thursday, February 27, 2025 at Barnes Place, Latrobe. He was born October 5, 1942, in the Village of Peanut, Derry Twp., a son of the late Herbert and Glendora (Blystone) McCreery. Prior to retirement Donald worked at Teledyne Vasco in Latrobe. He was an US Air Force Veteran. Donald was an avid hunter and fisherman. Donald is preceded in death by his wife of 50 years Dorothy J. (Marsh) McCreery in 2020; one son Donald B. McCreery Jr.; two brothers Duane “Ike” and Dale “Butch” McCreery; two sisters Phyllis Teribery and Janet Watkins; and two brothers-in-law Blaine Short and James Merichko Donald is survived by his daughter Lisa Newhouse and husband Gary of New Alexandria; one grandson Dylan Munshower and wife Erin; two brothers Charles “Chuck” McCreery and wife Linda and Greg McCreery; three sisters Karen Miller and husband Ralph, Lois Short, and Deborah Merichko; sister-in-law Marie McCreery; and numerous nieces, nephews, including special nephew Charles “Chuckie” McCreery and wife Nenalyn and many friends.
