Dino Frassenei. 89, of Derry, died peacefully on Saturday, April 11, 2026, at Redstone Highlands, Greensburg. He was born on October 20, 1936 in Slickville, PA, a son of the late Joseph and Maria (DePaoli) Frassenei. Prior to retirement Dino worked at Vale Tech Institute as auto body instructor. He was US National Guard Veteran. Dino enjoyed cooking, socializing, and making friends with everyone. Besides his parents Dino is preceded in death by one brother Rogers Frassenei and one sister Ines Stevenson. Dino is survived by his loving wife Maxine (Fisher) Frassenei of Derry; two daughters Diane M. Heining and husband Michael and Denise C. McKenzie and husband Ed; five grandchildren Ashley Batsa and Stevie, Nicholas Heining and James Snow, Alyssa Marckisotto and Brent. Brandon McKenzie, and Jonathan McKenzie and Hannah Ucman; three great grandchildren Scarlett and Sawyer Batsa, and Saige Marckisotto; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Visitation, funeral, and final committal were private for the family. The family has entrusted the funeral arrangements with the Matthew X. Merlin Funeral Home Inc. 529 N. Chestnut St. Derry, PA 724-694-8331. A private interment was in the St. Joseph Cemetery, Derry. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Action For Animals Humane Society, PO Box 814, Latrobe, PA 15650.
