Deborah M. (Plowman) Levay

Deborah M. ( Plowman) Levay, 68, of Unity Twp., died on Thursday, October 24, 2024 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born April 3, 1956 in Pittsburgh, a daughter of the late Charles L. Plowman and Audrey E. (Sunseri) Plowman-Huey. Prior to retirement Debbie worked at Wal-Mart for 10 years. She enjoyed gardening, canning, and cooking Besides her parents, Debbie is preceded in death by step father Eugene Huey; one sister Karen Plowman; and one grandson Brayden Shaffer. Debbie is survived by her husband Christopher J. Levay of Unity Twp.; one son Lloyd Painter; two stepsons Justin Levay and Cody Levay and wife Nikki; one step daughter Alicia Shaffer and husband Joe; three brothers Chuck Plowman and Tracey, Eddie Plowman and Becky, and George Plowman and Pam; four grandchildren Nadia, Brennan, Athena, and Emerson; mother-in-law Donna Clark; special friend of Karen, Marcia Garretson; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. Family will receive friends for Debbie’s Life Celebration, 2-6PM, Monday October 28, 2024 at the Matthew X. Merlin Funeral Home, Inc. 529 N. Chestnut St. Derry, PA 724-694-8331.
