Clara Jean (Conrad) Short

Clara Jean Short, 94, of Derry Twp., died on Sunday, February 23, 2025 at Forbes Hospital, Monroeville, PA. She was born March 5, 1930 in Latrobe, a daughter of the late Russell and Cecilia (Murray) Conrad. Jean was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, Derry. Jean loved cleaning, oil painting, flowers, and birds. Besides her parents, Jean was preceded in death by her husband Norman R. “Dick” Short in 2017 and four brothers Richard, Ronald, Russell and Jim Conrad. Jean is survived by two children Dennis Short and wife Debbie of Derry and Robert Short and wife Carolyn of Latrobe; three grandchildren Monica Newhouse, Keith Short and wife Jen, and Michelle Tang and husband Tim; six great-grandchildren Mike, Aubree, Alexis, Carter, Hailey, and Ava and also many nieces, nephews, and friends. Family will receive friends for Jean’s Life Celebration 2-6PM Wednesday February 26, 2025 in the Matthew X. Merlin Funeral Home, Inc. 529 N.
