Raymond H. Bopp

Raymond H. Bopp, 82, of Derry, died Thursday, May 2, 2019 after a long courageous battle with Alzheimer’s and Myasthenia Gravis, at Excela Health Latrobe Hospital. He was born October 10, 1936, in Summerhill, PA, a son of the late Rudolph and Geraldine (Wess) Bopp. Prior to retirement Ray worked at Westinghouse, ICI, Adelphoi, and Giant Eagle. He was a member of the Army National Guard and St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, Derry. Ray enjoyed spending time with his family. In addition to his parents, Ray was preceded in death by his brother Regis. Ray is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Patricia J. (Burik) Bopp of Derry; daughters Lori Deyarmin of Derry and Kris Leonard and husband Rick of Latrobe; sister Linda Sirgey and husband Bob of Derry; grandchildren Shelly Deyarmin Kuhn and husband Bill, Lindsay Deyarmin, and Derek Watt; great grandson Tyler Kuhn; nieces Sandy Burd and husband Joe and Mary Landis and husband Bill. The family will receive friends for Ray’s Life Celebration, on Sunday, May 5, 2019 from 2-4 and 6-8PM at the Matthew X. Merlin Funeral Home Inc. 529 N.
