Christina M. (Copelli) Novello

Christina M. “Teanie”(Copelli) Novello, of New Derry, died peacefully on November 11, 2018 surrounded by her family at the Keeper of the Flame, Blairsville. She was born in New Derry, PA on April 26, 1926.The daughter of the late Comillo “Pat” and Catherine “Katie” (McInchak) Copelli. Prior to retirement Teanie worked at Keystone Alloy and Joe’s Red and White for many years and Latrobe Area Hospital as a patient escort for 10 years. She was a member of St. Martin Roman Catholic Church and the St. Martin Rosary Altar Society. Teanie loved bingo, playing cards, crocheting, and being with her lady friends. In addition to her parents, Teanie was predeceased in death by her loving husband Alderigo J. “Borg” Novello in 2007, two brothers, John “Scale” and Steve “Skeeze” Copelli, and two sisters Mary Lou Hamacher and an infant sister Catherine Copelli. Teanie is survived by two daughters Linda Angus and husband Joseph of New Derry and Judy Revitsky and husband Anthony of Latrobe; one brother Andrew “Gus” Copelli and wife Patty of Latrobe; five grandchildren Joseph Angus and wife Roni, Michael Angus and wife Wendy, Brian Revitsky and wife Becky, Sara Revitsky, and Josh Revitsky; five great grandchildren Ashley, Nate, Lauren, and Brady Angus, and Cassie Revitsky; one great-great grandchild Ireland Gottron and many nieces, nephews and friends. The family will receive friends for Teanie’s Life Celebration, on Tuesday, November 13, 2018 from 2-8PM at the Matthew X. Merlin Funeral Home Inc. 529 N. Chestnut St. Derry, PA 724-694-8331. St. Martin Rosary Altar Society will recite the Rosary 1:30PM Tuesday, November 13, 2018 in the funeral home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:00AM Wednesday November 14, 2018 in the St. Martin Roman Catholic Church, New Derry with the Rev. Salvatore R. Lamendola as celebrant. Interment will follow in the St. Martin Cemetery, New Derry. The family would like to give a special thanks to Excela Hospice and her family at the Keeper of the Flame.
