Anthony S. “Tony” Dudzinsky, 89, of Derry, died on Monday, March 19, 2018 at Bethlen Home, Ligonier surrounded by his family.
He was born August 22, 1928 in Whitney, the son of late Frank and Magdalena (Balik) Dudzinsky.
Prior to retirement Anthony worked for Carborundum as a Millwright. He was a US Army veteran having served during the Korean War. Anthony was a member of St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, Derry and a founding member of the Whitney VFD. He enjoyed vegetable gardening and fly fishing.
Besides his parents Anthony is preceded in death by his brother Stanley Dudzinsky and his sister Helen Kistler.
Anthony is survived by his loving wife of 63 years Mary Jane (Bozelli) Dudzinsky of Derry; three sons Frank A. Dudzinsky and wife Mary Lou of New Derry, Ron L. Dudzinsky and wife Janette of Derry, and Joe P. Dudzinsky and wife Lori of Derry; one sister Veronica Stairs of Whitney; three grandchildren Jason, Jonathan, and Vincent Dudzinsky, and many nieces, nephews and friends.
Family will receive friends for Anthony’s Life Celebration 2-4 and 6-8 PM Thursday March 22, 2018 in the Matthew X. Merlin Funeral Home Inc. 529 N. Chestnut St. Derry, PA 724-694-8331.
The Latrobe-Derry Veterans Honor Guard will conduct a military service 9:15AM March 23, 2018 Friday in the funeral home.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10AM Friday March 23, 2018 at St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church with to Rev. Salvatore R. Lamendola as Celebrant.
Interment will follow in the St. Joseph Cemetery, Derry
