Benjamin C. Roble, 84, of New Derry, PA, died, Wednesday, February 21, 2024, at his home. He was born March 22, 1939, in Wilkinsburg, PA, the son of late Ralph and Edith (Thompson) Roble. Prior to retirement Benjamin worked for Vulcan Mold. He was a US Army Veteran. Benjamin was a member of the Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Latrobe. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and woodworking. Besides his parent Benjamin was preceded in death by two brothers Frank and Johnny Viola and one sister Phyllis Topel. Benjamin is survived by his wife Margaret L. (Hough) Roble of New Derry; two sons Chris Roble and wife Beth of Latrobe and Timothy Roble of Irwin; one daughter Janice Knight and husband Dan of Walterboro, SC; one sister Mary Clutter of Bradenton, FL; four grandchildren, Kenneth Lee, Joshua, Blake, and Tyler Roble and fiancée Gracie Stynchula; one great granddaughter Giovanna; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. The family has entrusted the Matthew X. Merlin Funeral Home, Inc. 529 N. Chestnut St. Derry 724-694-8331 with the funeral arrangements. Services for Benjamin will be private for his family.
