Shirley Ann (Connor) Anderson

Shirley Ann (Connor) Anderson, 69, of Derry, died August 6, 2019 at Oak Hill Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center, Greensburg. She was born February 13, 1950, in Latrobe, a daughter of James J. Connor of Derry and the late Jean Marie (Novello) Connor. Prior to retirement Shirley worked at Torrance State Hospital. She was a member of the St. Martin Roman Catholic Church, New Derry. Shirley enjoyed genealogy and flowers. Beside her mother, Shirley is preceded in death by her husband George W. Anderson Sr. in 2014. Shirley is survived by her son George W. Anderson Jr. and wife Heather of Derry; one daughter Jill A. McKendrick and husband Randy of Blairsville; two grandchildren Gabriel W. Luttner and Emmett R. Anderson; one cousin Evely Frisco of New Derry and several nieces, nephews and friends. Family will receive friends for Shirley’s Life Celebration from 2-4 and 6-8 PM on Friday, August 9, 2019 at the Matthew X. Merlin Funeral Home, Inc. 529 N. Chestnut St. Derry 724-694-8331. A Blessing Service will be held on Saturday, August 10, 2019 at 11:00 A.M. in the funeral home with Rev. Salvatore R. Lamendola as officiant. Interment will follow in the St. Martin Cemetery, New Derry.
